It can be fun yet somewhat overwhelming to sift through the many channels of tutorials dedicated to beginner photographers. It’s fun in the beginning when the whole world is new. It gets more frustrating as you grow and start looking for specific, more advanced techniques. Often times, you find a sales pitch instead of the information that was promised in the title.
Since we refer almost all production inquires (occasionally, we’ll help out a charity or friend with a project), we hear this question on a regular basis: How much does it cost to make a video? That’s easy! How much does a home cost? How about a car? Or dinner, for that matter? The answer is: it varies. However, by answering a few key questions, you can easily narrow down the figure to something that fits your budget. Even if the budget is $0.

We’re always impressed with the “naturals” who have zero teleprompter or general performance training and just crush it. We’ve seen others who are great in-person, know their brand like the back of their hand and just can’t get through a sentence without sounding like a robot (In a future article, we’ll share ways to fight through this problem and production workarounds).
